Hi Victory Parents!

If you have any fitness goals this New Year, we have a Combat Conditioning class on Tues and Thurs @ 7PM.  This class is a great way to maximize your results.  See MR. Calderone for A FREE WEEK TRIAL.

Progress Check

Is on Wed Jan 30^th, Thurs Jan 31^st and Make up is on Sat FEB 2^nd.  Make sure your child is staying diligent with their best list and intent to promote sheets.  They can put them in the plastic bin by the fridgerator.

For Monday and Wednesday 6PM Class ONLY:

If your child is a Red and Black Belt Candidate and did not get the Black Belt Test requirements, see Mr. Calderone, if you did, remember that the entrance exam is this Sat @ 9AM and Black Belt Camp starts on Sat January 19^th.

New Progress Check Process

Hello Victory Students and Parents,

I am sending everyone the links to the "My Best List" and "Intent To Promote Sheet".  Remember that it is very important that you make sure your child starts filling it out at the beginning of each month.  You can also modify them by crossing out certain duties that they may not yet do at home. 

We are also starting a book club.  After a certain amount of books that you child reads they will receive a special patch just for that!  I have a list of recommended reading material that I will send. 
If your child is reading a book on their own or from school, that can count as well.  Just have your child bring in the book for the instructor to approve. 

I was also thinking of areas that I myself and Victory can improve on.  I was thinking of how to increase the organization, and overall quality of our progress check graduations.  I talked it over
with Master Riccardo, his wife, the other instructors and we are going to start our new system this month. 

Progress check is as follows:

BTC 5-7 Year olds (Wednesday the 29th or Thursday the 30th @ 5:00 p.m.)

BTC 8-12 Year olds (Wednesday the 29th @ 5:00 p.m. or Thursday the 30th @ 6:00 p.m.)

Advanced class 8-12 (Wednesday the 29th or Thursday the 30th @ 6:00 p.m.)

Make up for 5-7 is on Saturday Dec 2nd @ 11:00 a.m.
Make up for BTC 8-12 and Advanced is on Saturday Dec 2nd @ 12:00 p.m.

To increase the quality of our ceremony we are requiring that students who wish to progress check on Wed the 29th bring in their Best Lists and Intent to Promote sheets on Monday the 27th.

Students who wish to progress check on Thur the 30th bring in their sheets on Tues the 28th. 

If you are progress checking on that Saturday, you may bring in the sheets on that Wed the 29th, or Thur the 30th. 

This new system will help us have stars/patches and belts ready so we can start the Progress check on time.

Remember that students must have the required attendance hash marks to qualify for progress check.

White-orange/green need 4 has marks
Green -Purple need 6 hash marks
Brown-Red/Black need 7 hash marks

Documentation for progress check

Hello,

I wanted to send you the link  to get the "My Best list and intent to promote sheets for next progress check.". Each student will need it in order to progress check!

Jr. Samurai must bring this worksheet on the day of progress check to be eligible to participate and graduate to next rank. They will also receive their blue merit star.

P.S.  Punctuality is a habit! For the organization of our instructors and graduation, we ask that all students and families to come a little earlier than usual.  On progress check day, you may come 20 min before class time so that we can collect all mandatory paperwork, report cards, and have our stars and belts ready.  Our goal is to start progress check on time and we cannot progress check anyone that comes in after we have already started.
