Forest Park/Orland Park MMA Comp Team Videos...
Hey Victory Family...
It's reeeeeealy late on Sunday Morning and I just got home from
Powerfights in Sandwich, IL.
Victory Comp Team put on a impressive show of skill and determination.
But, most importantly they learned a valuable lesson. That is, when you
set a goal, and put in the proper discipline in preparation - you can achieve
whatever you set your mind too.
I was so happy for them!
I was also humbled by how many students came out to support the team,
I know there are lot of you who couldn't make it but you were
there with us in spirit.
I would like to congratulate the fighters for a very impressive showing,
the Instructors for helping others to realize their potential, the comp
team for being a team and giving your best in the gym to help the
competitors to prepare and all the students of Victory for being
a part of a vision that I had 20 years ago.
Enjoy the videos...I have one more that I will post on Tuesday - you tube is
taking forever to upload and it's already 4:17 am and I am about to fall
out in my chair.
Oh I almost forgot we went 3 for 3.
Tony Bertolli was prepared and ready to go but his opponent tried to
lose 15 pounds in 48 hours and got really sick at the event and could
not fight. Tony will stay in shape and we will look for
him to show his skills very soon.
In your corner,
Dion Riccardo

Wonderful job at the fights last night. The 3 team members that had the opportunity
to fight were true gentlemen and warriors and although disappointed, Tony B showed class and style when informed that his opponent had to withdraw.

It was amazing watching our academy put our skill to the test.. this is why I've been busting my butt at every practice because I know myself and everyone else is capable of such skill. I'm proud to call myself a part of this family and very glad all of our fighters learned so much last night.. congratulations!

Whatssup family!!!!! hope eveyone is well. I'm good. Just a little tired. I'd like to thank Sifu, Mr. AB, Mr. Mark B., Mr. Dean, Mr. AC, Mr. Omar, Mr. Lopez, Mr. Luke, Matt and the entire Comp Team Family. It is because of your support, I was able to get the win. It was a amazing TEST for me. After being Tested last night, I want AnyOne and EveryOne to know that Victory Martial Arts has the BEST Trainers and Competition Team members around. Thanks also to all Academy Members for your love and support. Again, I couldn't have done this without your support.

Congrats guys! Very good to see my fellow classmates come home with victories!! Very inspiring to me. On a sad note, this is my 3rd comp team tryout that I have not been able to tryout due to my conflicting work schedule. But good luck to all, hope to be training with you guys sometime in the next 6 months when I can fully dedicate myself to this. Again thanks for the inspiration!

What tremendous people we have involved in the academy, we are not only winners in the cage, but as I looked at the section of supporters we had in the seats i realized what a blessing it is to be around all of you. Congrats to my guys who stepped foot in the cage and represented Victory with honor and courage, and congrats to the Victory family who represented Victory with class and professionalism....We will see you in the dojo.....Hey fighters what was Saturday night? Just another day where?

Both of you represent the best things about victory. Complete domination on the ground great stand up. Both of you can sit back and just take in the reward of all hte hard work. Excellent Job!!

Thank you all for your comments and support. Walking back to the locker room and seeing all of your faces and all the excitement made every second of training worthwhile. I remember the first time I fought in Sandwich, I heard my name then "BOOOOOO" from pretty much the whole place. This time, I couldn't even hear my name from all of the cheers! What a difference you all made. I would like to thank all of the comp team and all of the instructors for persistent support and training. JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE DOJO! That’s what it is AB, just another day and we definitely represented. Once again, thanks to all. We all share in these 3 great victories! Also, shot out to Tony B. who was more than ready to fight and showed tons of class when his unfortunate situation came about. We will see your skills soon enough.
