Hello Sensei Anthony,

Three or four things stand out in my mind over the past few days that make me so grateful for my VMAA experience.

Thank you so much for bringing back the JKD/Kali class. My classmates are telling me how much they love that class. Your instruction and the extra work that goes in to adding another class are very much appreciated.

Being in the Academy on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, it is a joy to see over 25 women in Mr. Buoniconti's 6pm class. I am so proud of the job he is doing to expand the influence and importance of VMAA in the local community. A few of his 7pm students have told me how much they love the class, the positive personal attention and the intensity.

Two academy parents have mentioned the outstanding job and wonderful contribution of Kendall Polk to the childrens class. A year or so ago I never would have seen Kendall the way I see him now. My first impression of him was 100% wrong and in being wrong about him I learned something about myself. I stand steadfast with Kendall in battle or in life in any situation.

I still think about the young M,W student that called himself out for missing second base last week. Strong character is more and more a rare comodity and to see that boys example is a highlight of my VMAA experience.

So, Sensei Anthony. Thank you for your leadership and your contribution. See, beyond the physical location, you are the golden thread that runs through each of those three people and the JKD class. In many ways, we are because you are.

I want to encourage students and VMAA families to let Sensei Anthony hear about your joys along with the concerns and about how you CAN more than about your limitations. He will help you build a positive outlook and reach new heights in life because he knows that you CAN do all things when you find your strength.

I love you Sensei Anthony, Mr. Buoniconti, Mr. Polk and Gabe. Thank you for enriching my life.
